THE CHALLENGE
A blank wall and elevated pass-through left this kitchen with underutilized potential and an awkward corner during an active remodel.

THE APPROACH
After listening to how the space wasn’t fully supporting the homeowners’ needs, I identified an opportunity to improve both flow and function. I sketched a cabinet concept designed to align with standard counter height and integrate seamlessly into the kitchen.

THE SOLUTION
A built-in cabinet that:
• Extends usable counter space
• Adds functional storage
• Lowers the pass-through for visual and functional continuity
• Doubles as a built-in buffet between kitchen and dining area

THE OUTCOME
The concept was presented to their cabinet designer and brought to life—resulting in a cohesive, highly functional addition that feels original to the home.
